Cummings Electrical is seeking high-energy, self-starters with a strong work ethic to join our team as a Construction Superintendent in Training. Through a blend of field and management training, as well as office-based structured learning, and mentorship, successful Construction Superintendents in Training will develop the skills to advance into a leadership position.Are you ready to work hard? Get your hands dirty working in the field? Through field training, you will work as an apprentice electrician on large commercial and industrial projects to gain hands-on experience and understanding of the company’s means and methods, culture, services, quality of work standards, and technical aspects of various project types. As your development progresses, you will gain knowledge of standard business processes while developing your management and leadership skills.The end result? To develop Superintendents who can achieve operational goals, build teams, manage effectively, and contribute to the overall success and profitability of Cummings Electrical.Gain an understanding of the company’s safety culture and policiesUphold safe working conditions and preventative safety measures and always ensure compliance and enforcement of safety program at all timesWork in the field as a hands-on apprentice electrician on large commercial and industrial construction projectsDevelop proper knowledge and understanding of electrical construction methods, materials, and sequencesUnderstand what it takes to construct projects on time, within budget and to quality standardsUnderstand how Safety, Scheduling, Processes & Production, Resource Loading and Projections lead to successful projectsComplete training modules on the aspects of field work, standard business processes, and safetyMaintain positive working environment for entire site teamMust be a Safety True BelieverBachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business; or 5 + years of relevant field experience (preferred) or other work experiencePossess strong analytical skills and be process orientatedDemonstrated leadership abilities and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skillsStrong technical and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsTechnical aptitude to learn new software (Oracle, SAP, or other ERP systems)Proficient in MS Office SuiteAbility to obtain Apprentice Electrical License through TDLRPermanent US work authorization is required (sponsorship is not provided)Employment at Cummings is subject to background check and drug screen; must be eligible to work in the United States.Compensation requirements commensurate with experience.Excellent benefits package includes:Health,Dental,Vision,Life, and Disability InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramSupplemental Insurance: Accident & Critical IllnessFSA401K& ROTH 401KPaid Time OffCompany Paid HolidaysBonus Plan
