TheSeniorPayrollAnalystreviews,analyzes,reconciles,andinterpretspayrolldatatoensureaccuratemulti‑statepayrollprocessingincompliancewithapplicableregulatoryrequirements.Thisroleoverseespayrollreportingandanalysistosupportaccuracy,operationalefficiency,andadherencetoCompanypolicies,SOXrequirementsandlegalstandards.Workseffectivelywithalllevelsofmanagement,demonstratingexcellentcommunicationskillsandtheabilitytoexplaincomplexpayrollmattersclearlyandprofessionally.DemonstratesastrongunderstandingofAmTrust’smission,vision,andvalues,andconsistentlyupholdstheorganization’sstandards,ethics,andexpectations. ResponsiblefortheaccurateandtimelyprocessingofU.S.andCanadianpayrollsincompliancewithCompanypoliciesandallfederal,state/provincial,andlocalregulations.Prioritizeandresolvepayrollinquiries,provideclearandconciseguidancetostakeholders,andensurepayrolldataaccuracythroughreviewandreconciliation.PartnerwithHR,Finance,andvendorstosupportaudits,resolveissues,andmaintainconfidentialityofsensitivepayrollinformation.Researchandanalyzepayrollandsystem‑relatedissuestoidentifyrootcauses,assessimpact,andresolvediscrepancies.Determinepayrollliabilitiesbycollectingandanalyzingdatarelatedtoemployeeearningsandtaxestoensureaccuratepayrollcalculationsandcompliance.Developand/ormaintainpayrollmetricsforstrategicreporting.Partnerwithkeystakeholderstounderstandthevariousbusinessandinformationneedstodetermineeffectivetechnicalandanalyticalsupport.CollaboratewithHRIStodevelopandimprovestandardizedreportingforthepayrolldepartmentusingavarietyofsystemsandprocessestoensuretheneedsofinternalandexternalcustomersaremet.AssistwithtestingandvalidatingWorkdayscriptstosupportpayrollandsystemfunctionalityandTotalRewards,asneeded.Workcross-functionallywithotherteamsinBenefits,Compensation,HR,Finance,andotherManagementareas;assistwithprojectmanagementwithinTotalRewards.EnsurecurrentandaccurateSOPdocumentation,coordinateand/orperformtestingofsystemmodifications,anddevelop,provide,orcoordinatesystemtraining,educationaltoolsandmaterials.Assistwithdomesticnew‑statepayrollsetupbysupportingtaxapplications,respondingtostateandlocaljurisdictioninquiries,andconfiguringandmaintainingstatetaxsetupsinWorkday.Providesupportforthepreparationandprocessingofyear‑endW‑2statements.ProvideexpertiseinCorePayrollConceptsandCompliance;IRSandDepartmentofLaborrules/compensation/benefits/disposable&take-homepay.Keepscurrentwithmarkettrendsanddemands.Performotherfunctionallyrelateddutiesasassigned.Required:Minimumoffive(5)years'experience.Strongpayrollreportingandanalyticalskills.Implementationexperience.DemonstratedproficiencywithMicrosoftWord,Excel,HRIS,WorkdayandADPWagePaymentandGarnishmentServices.Workingknowledgeofgenerallyacceptedaccountingprinciples,practices,andprocedures.Excellent,service-orientedcommunicationskills.Abletoworkinahighpressure,teamworkfocusedenvironment.Meticulousattentiontodetailandgreataccuracy.Abilityandwillingnesstoworkholidaysandweekendsasbusinessneedsrequire.Preferred:Bachelor'sDegreeorequivalentworkexperienceCertifiedPayrollProfessional(CPP)CanadianpayrollexperienceComfortwithreportgeneratingsoftwareandMSExcelMulti-StatepayrolltaxexperienceThis job description is designed to provide a general overview of the requirements of the job and does not entail a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities that will be required in this position.
