Associate’s degree in related discipline or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The Sr Advanced Engineering Technician will act as a leader and mentor to new technicians in the support of engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. This may entail performing the following:Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understand the necessary interfacesPerforms complex system level troubleshooting to component levelWorks from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functionsLays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs and maintains equipment, components, devices or systemsWhat you’ll experience:Perform functional and verification testing of CWL electronic systems and subsystemsExecute established test procedures and document results accuratelyOperate and interpret data from electronic test equipment, including:Digital and analog multimetersOscilloscopesPower suppliesSignal generatorsTroubleshoot electronic circuits, wiring, connectors, power distribution, and control electronics to isolate failuresSupport failure analysis and root-cause investigations in coordination with engineering teamsVerify hardware configuration against released electrical schematics and technical documentationIdentify, document, and track discrepancies, anomalies, and corrective actionsSupport regression testing after hardware or design changesMaintain test setups, cables, and equipment used for CWL testingFollow safety, quality, and configuration control proceduresParticipate in technical reviews, test readiness activities, and problem-solving discussions as requiredWhat you bring to the table:An Associate’s degree in related discipline or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceUnderstands implications of work and provides applicable solutionsDistinct knowledge of specialized function and proficiency in application and interpretation of complex specifications, requirements, standards and practicesWhat sets you apart:Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team successCommitment to ongoing professional developmentSuperior communication and collaboration skillsNOTE:This positrion is 100% on-site and we are not offering relocation assistance at this time.This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
