Registered Nurse u2013 Pediatric CVOR Houston, TX Pay Range: $38.03 u2013 $57.05 per hour (depending on experience) Location: Houston, TX Shift: Full-Time, Nights, Rotating Weekends (8, 10, or 12-hour shifts) Relocation Assistance & Bonus: Case by case basis Are you an experienced operating room RN with a passion for pediatric cardiac care? Weu2019re seeking a dedicated Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse to join a leading surgical team in Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a highly specialized, collaborative environment focused on delivering the best outcomes for young patients and their families. About the Role: As a Pediatric CVOR RN, youu2019ll be a critical member of the surgical team, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to children undergoing complex cardiovascular procedures. Youu2019ll work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the entire perioperative team, supporting the patient and their family every step of the way. Self-scheduling, state-of-the-art equipment, and a supportive culture set this unit apart. Key Responsibilities: + Evaluate pediatric patients prior to surgery and provide education to patients and families + Prepare patients for the OR, including IV therapy, pre-op medications, and surgical site verification + Participate in all safety protocols, including pre-op briefings and time-outs + Respond quickly and effectively to patient emergencies + Deliver evidence-based care and participate in continuous improvement initiatives + Assess and monitor patient condition throughout each shift, documenting thoroughly + Educate and support patients and their families regarding procedures, treatments, and follow-up care + Collaborate closely with a dynamic, interdisciplinary surgical team Qualifications: + Active RN license + Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN required within 24 months of hire (enroll within 6 months) + At least 1 year of recent experience in an acute care setting, including work with post-cardiac surgery patients + Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 60 days of hire + Experience in NICU, Mother Baby, Pediatrics, or PICU a plus + Childrenu2019s hospital experience preferred Benefits: + Full Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance + Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Family Leave + Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) + 401(k) with employer match + Life, Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance + Employee Stock Purchase Plan + Tuition reimbursement, scholarships, and career pathway support + Additional perks: Pet Insurance, Legal Benefits, Identity Theft Protection, and more Ready to make a difference in the lives of children and families?
