Structural Engineer II u2013 Hybrid Irvine, CA We are seeking a Structural Engineer II to join a dynamic engineering team in Irvine, CA. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career engineer to work on meaningful projects, gain exposure to seismic design challenges, and collaborate with senior technical experts in a flexible, hybrid environment. What Youu2019ll Do + Perform structural analysis and design for new and existing structures, including multi-story buildings, pipe racks, and industrial supports. + Apply statics, dynamics, and load path principles in engineering calculations. + Prepare technical deliverables: reports, calculation packages, and design documentation. + Create detailed 3D structural models using ETABS (preferred), SAP2000, or RISA. + Review plans for compliance with IBC, CBC, ASCE 7, and material standards (AISC, ACI, NDS, TMS). + Collaborate with senior engineers and participate in client meetings. + Track and report project hours accurately; assist with workload estimates and budgets. + Support occasional field surveys (typically paired with senior staff). What Youu2019ll Need + Education: Bacheloru2019s in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masteru2019s preferred). + Experience: 2u20134 years of structural engineering experience (or 1u20132 years with Masteru2019s). + Certification: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required. + Technical Skills: + Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, and RISA; familiarity with RAM and MathCAD. + Knowledge of structural codes and standards (IBC, CBC, ASCE 7; AISC, ACI, NDS, TMS). + Ability to prepare calculation packages (MathCAD or Excel-based tools). + Nice-to-Have: Revit or AutoCAD proficiency; seismic retrofit experience (NPC-5 exposure is a plus, not required). Work Environment + Location: Irvine, CA + Schedule: Hybrid u2013 typically 2 days onsite per week (flexible days). + Hours: Standard business hours (8 amu20135 pm).
