Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Bohemia, New York. This is a contract position that begins as a one-month assignment, offering the potential for long-term employment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assisting weekly payroll and managing bookkeeping operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks, ensuring all transactions are properly documented. u2022 Process accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking. u2022 Reconcile bank statements to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial data. u2022 Support the general ledger by entering transactions and performing necessary adjustments. u2022 Handle payroll processing on a weekly basis. u2022 Assist with financial reporting and provide support during audits as needed. u2022 Collaborate with team members to streamline bookkeeping processes. u2022 Utilize Service Fusion for bookkeeping tasks, if applicable, to enhance operational efficiency. u2022 Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to financial transactions. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience in a detail-oriented environment. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing financial records and transactions. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. u2022 Experience with high-volume invoicing and maintaining organized records. u2022 Familiarity with payroll processing systems such as Accu Data is preferred. u2022 Ability to work onsite in Bohemia, New York. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. u2022 Experience with Service Fusion is a plus, but not mandatory.
