Job Title: Tissue TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a Tissue Processing Technician for the 3rd shift. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to develop technical skills and an understanding of the rules and regulations in a tissue processing environment. The role requires working in a team environment and learning to operate with minimal supervision. Responsibilities + Perform tissue processing activities to ensure the highest level of quality and yield in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). + Accurately process tissue products and meet production schedules. + Work safely by donning appropriate clean room lab attire and applying excellent aseptic techniques in a controlled environment. + Understand and execute proper waste disposal procedures. + Complete paperwork and perform data entry in line with Good Documentation Practices. + Store and move tissue to appropriate locations to maintain accurate inventories of in-process tissue. + Conduct cycle count activities as per SOPs. + Assist in reviewing and updating SOPs, work instructions, and procedures. + Serve as a technical expert in tissue processing, advising colleagues and engineers on techniques and improvement opportunities. + Support key annual performance metrics for operations. + Participate in continuous improvement activities during team meetings and other formal and informal settings. Essential Skills + Tissue Processing + Clean Room operations + ISO Clean Room standards + Sterile Tech procedures + Tissue Banking + Sterilization + Decontamination + Environmental Technician tasks + Lab Support + Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent. + Experience in GMP, GLP, Clinical Lab, Aseptic environment, or Tissue/Specimen Processing. Work Environment The position operates in a controlled biomedical manufacturing environment, requiring aseptic techniques and adherence to clean room operational SOPs. Initial training will be on the first shift (8am u2013 4pm) for the first two weeks. The role will then transition to the second shift for shadowing/training and actual duties, which will occur from 3:00pm-1:30am on a rotating 4-10u2019s schedule. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alachua, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr.
