Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This role demands a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in managing financial records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting strategic decision-making processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and review financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards. u2022 Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including payment processing and expense tracking. u2022 Handle month-end closing activities such as journal entries and schedule execution. u2022 Set up new projects with appropriate cost coding and maintain job cost records. u2022 Monitor and analyze project expenses and revenues, providing detailed reports. u2022 Record and maintain annual contracts and lease agreements accurately in accounting software. u2022 Reconcile accounts and ensure consistency in financial reporting. u2022 Collaborate with management to provide insights and support for various accounting projects and analyses. u2022 Perform bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity. u2022 Ensure general ledger accounts are properly recorded and updated. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting. u2022 Expertise in general ledger management and account reconciliation. u2022 Strong knowledge of journal entry preparation and execution. u2022 Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. u2022 Proficiency in tracking and analyzing project costs and revenues. u2022 Skilled in using accounting software to manage contracts and leases. u2022 Ability to perform detailed bank reconciliations accurately. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills to support management initiatives.
