Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate will excel in managing payroll processes with precision and efficiency, ensuring compliance with multi-state regulations and union requirements. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in payroll systems and tax reconciliation. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and manage payroll operations for employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance. u2022 Reconcile payroll data with state taxes to maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Handle union payroll requirements, including contract-specific calculations and reporting. u2022 Utilize PeopleSoft and other payroll systems to streamline payroll processing. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll-related inquiries and provide timely resolutions. u2022 Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations. u2022 Leverage Microsoft Excel for detailed payroll analysis and reporting. u2022 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance. u2022 Generate and analyze payroll reports to support audits and financial reviews. u2022 Assist in improving payroll processes and implementing best practices. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, including multi-state operations. u2022 Proficiency in handling union payroll requirements and related calculations. u2022 Strong knowledge of payroll tax reconciliation and compliance. u2022 Experience working with PeopleSoft or similar payroll systems. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. u2022 Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
