Senior Data Security Analyst (DLP Focus) Location: Charlotte, NC 28202 (Hybrid) Duration: Feb 15, 2026 u2013 Aug 14, 2026 (6 Months) Pay Rate: $45.00 u2013 $55.00/hr W2 Status: No 3rd Parties / No C2C Role Summary Our client, a major international financial institution, is seeking a Senior Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst to join their Data Security team in Charlotte. This role is critical in protecting sensitive organizational data by monitoring, triaging, and validating security incidents. You will work closely with senior leadership to refine policy efficacy and provide data-driven insights that strengthen the firm's security posture. Key Responsibilities + Alert Monitoring: Actively monitor alerts coming from Data Loss Prevention technologies. + Triage & Escalation: Perform initial triage and escalation in accordance with established internal security processes. + Process Documentation: Draft and maintain playbooks and job aids for DLP responsibilities. + Incident Validation: Partner with senior leadership to support the validation of data security incidents. + Policy Tuning: Provide feedback to technologists responsible for DLP policy tuning on the efficacy of rules and reduction of false positives. + Reporting & Metrics: Prepare DLP program metrics for routine reporting and support ad-hoc data requests from leadership. Technical Skills & Qualifications + Experience Level: Senior-level professional with 10+ years of experience in Data Security or Data Analysis. + Tooling Knowledge: Prior experience with Proofpoint , Microsoft Purview , and Island.io is highly preferred. + Data Analysis: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically for data manipulation and pivot tables. + Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to formulate holistic pictures from multiple data sources. + Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work alongside cross-functional teams.
