Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in preparing various types of tax returns, including corporate, individual, partnership, and fiduciary filings. This role requires proficiency in tax preparation software and a strong understanding of tax regulations to ensure accurate and efficient processing. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare a variety of tax returns, including corporate, individual, partnership, and fiduciary filings. u2022 Utilize tax preparation software such as CCH ProSystem Fx and Lacerte to complete tax forms efficiently. u2022 Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. u2022 Review and verify information provided by clients to ensure accuracy in tax filings. u2022 Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and address any questions or concerns. u2022 Stay updated on changes in tax laws and policies to maintain compliance and provide accurate services. u2022 Manage multiple tax preparation projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. u2022 Conduct thorough reviews of completed tax returns to identify and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Provide guidance and recommendations to clients regarding tax-saving strategies and compliance requirements. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in preparing corporate, individual, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns. u2022 Proficiency in using tax preparation software such as CCH ProSystem Fx and Lacerte. u2022 Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations. u2022 Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. u2022 Ability to analyze and interpret financial data accurately. u2022 Exceptional communication skills to interact with clients and address their needs. u2022 Capability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Previous experience in tax preparation or related financial roles preferred.
