BAE Systems is seeking a talented Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to join our Procurement Quality Support Engineering (PQSE) team with up to 50% travel. Ideally this candidate would be located in the metro Detroit area, and remote work within the US would be considered. As an SQE, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our suppliers' products by being the boots on the ground engineer at suppliers sites, solving non-conformances, being a liaison to internal partners, and reviewing and approving technical reports. In this role, you will: + Travel onsite to suppliers (25-50%) to enforce quality standards, build relationships, and drive continuous improvement + Evaluate FAI and FAT plans/reports to ensure compliance with technical requirements and industry standards (AS9102 and performance specifications) + Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate submission of FAI/FATs + Work with internal teams and suppliers to resolve discrepancies and non-conformance issues + Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing data to assess FAI/FAT completeness and suitability + Provide technical support and guidance on FAI/FAT processes to internal teams and suppliers + Promote a
