Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Oakwood, GA. This role is pivotal in overseeing a high-value portfolio, ensuring prompt payments, and maintaining strong relationships with key clients. Responsibilities: u2022 Make frequent outbound calls to clients to address overdue accounts and encourage timely payments. u2022 Analyze aging reports to identify overdue payments and investigate reasons for delays. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve account discrepancies and streamline collection efforts. u2022 Monitor and report on collections metrics, including portfolio performance and payment trends. u2022 Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information using relevant systems. u2022 Identify patterns in customers' payment behaviors and recommend strategies to address underlying causes of non-payment. u2022 Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, to analyze data and present performance insights. u2022 Communicate effectively with both local and international teams to ensure alignment in collection strategies. u2022 Handle large-scale data sets to track and optimize collections processes. u2022 Proactively suggest improvements to enhance efficiency in billing and collections procedures. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in collections or accounts receivable, particularly managing high-volume or specialized portfolios. u2022 Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with confidence in making outbound collection calls. u2022 Proficiency in using Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, for data analysis. u2022 Familiarity with systems such as Coupa and other collections software is preferred. u2022 Ability to evaluate and manage large datasets with accuracy and attention to detail. u2022 Collaborative approach to problem-solving and resolving account issues. u2022 Knowledge of commercial and consumer collection processes. u2022 A proactive mindset with a focus on improving billing and collections workflows.
