Meet the Team Ciscou2019s Market Access team, a key part of the Security and Trust Organization, is dedicated to bringing compliant cloud-based software products to market for worldwide. This involves driving strategic launch and sales readiness efforts that optimize, standardize, govern, and accelerate time-to-market and time-to-revenue, enabling direct and channel routes-to-market for these compliant products. As a Strategy and Planning Manager reporting directly to the VP of Strategy and Planning for Revenue Acceleration, you will be instrumental in these initiatives, playing a pivotal role in achieving Ciscou2019s ambitious $1.13B bookings goal for FY26. This position offers exceptional exposure within a high-intensity, high-visibility environment. Your Impact Strategic Planning & Execution:Act as a trusted advisor to the VP and Revenue Acceleration leadership team, supporting strategy development, operational planning, and execution to deliver on aggressive annual targets. Market Access Bookings Management: Drive the weekly coordination across theater leads to track changes in bookings commitments from Field Sales. Ensure alignment with Product Launch teams to mitigate impacts of delays on projected bookings. Collaborate with the Market Access Bookings reporting team to ensure accurate reflection of commitment changes. Facilitate monthly reviews with the VP of Market Access and leadership to ensure alignment on sales and product commitments, directly supporting the FY26 bookings goal. Pre-Sales Contract Selling Process Development & Management:Design, improve, and manage the end-to-end Pre-Sales Contract Selling process. This critical function enables the sale of offers to customers prior to full product certification, directly accelerating bookings and supporting contract renewals during compliance certification phases. Letters of Intent (LOI) Orchestration:Manage the end-to-end process for obtaining Letters of Intent across all theaters. Orchestrate cross-functional dialogue between Sales, Legal, and Product business units to ensure efficient delivery of LOIs, thereby supporting sales teams in winning RFIs/RFPs and accelerating revenue. Strategic Problem Framing:Rapidly assess new and emerging challenges, shape problem statements, and propose strategic responses for the Revenue Acceleration team. Decision Support:Synthesize complex data and ambiguous information into clear recommendations, driving clarity for fast-paced decision-making. Executive Communications:Partner with Communications team to develop, refine, and deliver executive-level communications, including presentations and strategic narratives tailored for VP, SVP and even ELT audiences. Ensure all messaging is consistent, clear, compelling, and actionable. Cross-Functional Leadership:Lead and influence director-level and above team members and stakeholders across the team, driving alignment and action without direct authority. Chief of Staff Support:Serve in an informal u201cchief of staffu201d capacity, orchestrating key meetings, defining agendas, and ensuring leadership priorities are executed with precision. Event Orchestration:Own the end-to-end planning and execution of executive events (e.g., Market Access Summit), collaborating with Cisco TV, managing run-of-show logistics, and preparing internal/external speakers. Minimum qualifications: Experience:10+ years in strategy consulting, business operations, or similar roles with significant executive-facing exposure. Education:Bacheloru2019s degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree strongly preferred. Leadership:Demonstrated ability to influence and drive results through director+ level stakeholders without formal authority. Communication:Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially in preparing presentations and communications for the VP, SVP, and ELT-level. Event Management:Experience orchestrating high-profile executive events and managing logistics across multiple stakeholders. Preferred qualifications: Strategic Acumen:Proven strength in framing issues, structuring ambiguous problems, and developing actionable strategies. Energy & Resilience:Thrive in high-energy, fast-paced environments; adept at creating structure and clarity amidst ambiguity. Ability to u201cmake meaning out of uncertainty,u201d providing clarity and actionable direction for teams. Experience supporting or working directly with a VP and understanding VP+ quality communications. High attention to detail and quality, especially in executive results. Message to applicants applying to work in the U.S. and/or Canada: The starting salary range posted for this position is $155,300.00 to $227,300.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Ciscou2019s plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time. U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Ciscou2019s policies: + 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees + 1 paid day off for employeeu2019s birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco + Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees + Exempt employees participate in Ciscou2019s flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations) + 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next + Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members + Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Ciscou2019s policies. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows: + .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota; + 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%; + 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and + Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area: $199,200.00 - $317,600.00 Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $179,900.00 - $291,700.00 For quota-based sales roles on Ciscou2019s sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.
