Job Title: Production Manager Job Description The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities related to the operations and development of company products. This role involves managing manufacturing operations, ensuring quality control standards are met, preparing budgets, and coordinating manufacturing activities across various departments. Responsibilities + Develop and maintain manufacturing operations business plans to address production line requirements in terms of safety, quality, cost, productivity, and team member development. + Ensure that all production areas comply with quality control standards. + Prepare annual labor, operating, and capital budgets for the Production Department, meeting or exceeding budget targets throughout the year. + Provide guidance in developing manufacturing production plans, including manpower, material, subcontract, facility, tooling, and equipment requirements. + Coordinate manufacturing activities with other functions such as Quality, Safety, Maintenance, PC, Accounting, and HR to optimize production and resource utilization. + Review production and operating reports, resolving operational, manufacturing, machinery, and equipment issues to minimize costs and prevent delays. + Perform or direct administrative activities for effective management of production operations, including compiling and visualizing production performance data. + Determine responsibilities of staff positions to accomplish business objectives. + Train and ensure compliance with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations. + Manage Assistant Managers and Group Leaders, overseeing approximately 50 employees in the Forming and Machining Departments, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, rewarding, and disciplining employees. Essential Skills + 2+ years of experience as a high-level supervisor or operations manager. + Ability to develop business plans. + Proven experience in improving retention. + Experience in handling all budgets. + Bachelor's Degree minimum. + Knowledge of Six Sigma. + Supervisory skills. + Proficiency in manufacturing operations and corporate policies. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $75000.00/yr. health, dental, vision, 401k and paid shut downs x2 yearly.
