Electrical Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair production equipment and electrical components. This role requires the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, perform routine preventive maintenance, and operate a variety of tools and systems to ensure optimal machine performance. Responsibilities + Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines and equipment. + Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine the correct solutions. + Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines perform optimally. + Operate a Computerized Maintenance Management System. + Inspect drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions. + Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards. + Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. + Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation. + Review and comprehend blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogs. + Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned. + Execute daily and business fundamentals. + Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed. Essential Skills + Troubleshooting + Electrical Maintenance + Mechanical Skills + Pneumatics and Hydraulics Knowledge + PLC Troubleshooting + Preventive Maintenance + Automation + Schematic Reading + Electrical Wiring + Blueprint Comprehension Additional Skills & Qualifications + At least 5 years of maintenance experience + High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience + Technical or vocational school certification preferred + Ability to read and comprehend safety procedures, operating, and maintenance instructions + Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment is desired + Physical ability to lift at least 65 lbs., stand, walk, sit, bend, climb, and use fall protection equipment + Ability to work in dusty, hot, and/or cold conditions Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a non-climate controlled environment with some shops on-site for maintenance tasks. The role involves working both inside and outside, often in dusty, hot, or cold conditions. Personal protective equipment such as earplugs, hard hat, safety boots/shoes, and protective glasses are required. Candidates must provide their own safety boots/shoes upon hire and can participate in a Safety Boots/Shoe Reimbursement Program after 30 days of employment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pageland, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
