You will work withstate-of-the-arttechnology and provide stellar patient care.Mammography Technologists operate a mammography unit to produce images of the breasts for diagnostic purposes, under the direction of a physician.They explain the procedure to patients, position and immobilize the patient’s breast in the unit, andobservethe scanning process. This involvesmonitoringthe video display of the area being scanned and adjusting the density or contrast to improve picture quality. Mammography Technologists then review and evaluate the film or image recording plate todetermineif the images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Throughout thiswhole process, Mammography Technologists use radiation safety measures and protection devices tocomply withgovernment regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff.We realize that flexibility is essential for many caregivers today.That’swhy we offer a variety ofPRN shift options—including staggered start times, flexible shift lengths, and specialized assignments—to fit your lifestyle.We’reproud to welcome experienced nurses into our caregiver family and are committed to providing the flexibility you need, no matter what life brings.A caregiver in this position works varying days and hours between 7:00AM - 7:00PM, including rotating ? day Saturdays.Availability to work a minimum of one day per week and the ability towork up to full time hours to cover PTO or LOAis required.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Provide mammography screening, diagnostic and interventionalproceduresand patient care services at defined levelstopatients.Review mammography requisition and computer exam forms todeterminethe type of examrequired.Position patients,determinethe exposurefactorsandoperatemammography equipment.Review processed images todeterminequality and the need foradditionalimages.Educate patientsregardingprocedures,equipmentand the exam.Ensure patients' safety and comfort during and after the exam.Acquire, archive,transmitand print images via CAD and plete after-hourstransmission of images andappropriate paperwork.Report any malfunctions to help desk and PACS Administrator.Processes billing via RIS.Assistwith all policies and procedures required by local,stateand federal law and with compliance or credentialing bodies (ACR, MQSA, Medicare, Medicaid, FDA, etc.).Assistwith instrument calibration and records.Perform equipment checks toassureproper function of and notify clinical engineering of any equipment malfunctions.Ensure exam rooms are adequately supplied with linen and related medical supplies.Attend periodic in-service programs andparticipatein professional affiliation sessions.Rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities,sitesand/or locations, as needed.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic TechnologyRegistered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), in good standingCertification in Mammography: R.T.(R) (M) (ARRT)Current state of Ohio licensure (RL)Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red CrossKnowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processesSuccessful completion of40 hoursof mammography trainingPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:One year of experience as a General Radiologic TechnologistPhysical Requirements: Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $40.00Maximum hourly: $40.00The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
