summary Now Hiring: Mechanical/Electrical Assembler Location: SE Tucson, AZ Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour Assignment: 11-month contract with potential for permanent hire Join a leading manufacturing and engineering team in Tucson. We’re looking for a skilled Mechanical/Electrical Assembler to support production assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment. Job Responsibilities: Assemble mechanical and electrical components using torque wrenches, hand drills, die grinders, and related tools Work with plumbing, valves, piping, and mechanical components Read and follow technical documents including blueprints, schematics, BOMs, and specifications Assemble and test electrical panel sub-assemblies Perform system testing including I/O control logic, ring-out testing, and functional verification Load PLC and touchscreen control software Troubleshoot and repair electrical panel issues as needed Use measurement tools such as calipers, tape measures, and combination squares Safely operate power tools including band saws, sanders, drills, and grinders Maintain quality and safety standards throughout all assembly processes Apply Today! required-skills: At least one (1) year previous mechanical and/or electrical assembly experience required; 2 years preferred. ***Must be able to meet pre-employment requirements, which may include background and/or drug screening, as required by the client. Qualifications: Previous experience in mechanical or electrical assembly Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience with PLC software loading is a plus Sheet metal skills a bonus Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
