The Role As a Sr Lead Software Developer, you will be responsible for helping to implement the vision of our software solutions, with a particular emphasis on Java technologies and networking components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and operations, to ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of our systems. Location This role is designated as a fully remote position within the United States. You must be a US Citizen for consideration for this position. The Main Responsibilities + Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards. + Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize system performance, ensuring efficient resource utilization and network performance. + Code Review & Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews and establish quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of code quality. + Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending tools and technologies that can enhance our software architecture. + Documentation: Create and maintain architectural documentation, including design specifications, architectural diagrams, and technical standards. What We Look For in a Candidate Required Qualifications: + 10+ years professional experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience + 8+ years professional experience with a Master’s Degree or equivalent education and experience + 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java and network architecture or Cloud Deployments. + Proficiency in Java, Redis, Lucene Indices, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs and Network Connectivity + Cloud Implementations - particularly Azure and GCP. + Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, etc.) and distributed systems. + Proven experience leading technical teams and projects.
