Press Brake Operator (Nights)

Job Title: Press Brake Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to form and press metal frameworks for electrical cabinets used in switchgears and power distribution systems. The role involves operating both Manual and CNC Press Brake Machines, reading blueprints, measuring metal, and adjusting machines for various punches on 11-gauge sheet metal. Responsibilities + Operate Manual Press Brake Machine and CNC Press Brake Machine. + Read and interpret blueprints for accurate production. + Measure metal using tape measures and calipers to verify dimensions. + Physically load large sheets of metal into machines and adjust settings for desired punches. + Perform fast-paced production work, constantly loading and setting up sheets. Essential Skills + 5+ years of CNC operating experience. + Proficiency in Press Brake operation. + Experience with sheet metal work. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Skill in using measuring tape, calipers, and micrometer. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in laser operation and G&M code knowledge. + Expertise in working with 11-gauge sheet metal. + Knowledge of CNC laser and fiber laser operation. Work Environment Work in a medium-sized, clean, and organized shop with open bay doors and ample fans. The environment is fast-paced, with 15 people per shift, including machine operators, fabricators, QC personnel, material handlers, and managers. The night shift operates from Monday to Friday, 6:00pm to 6:00am, with common work hours ranging from 50-60 hours per week. Safety gear including steel-toed boots, jeans, work shirts, and safety glasses is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
