Entity Controller

Description We are looking for a skilled Interim Entity Controller to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in Dallas, Texas, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a multi-entity investment structure during a period of heightened activity. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in accounting and a proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise and a focus on operational execution. Responsibilities for the interim Entity Controller: u2022 Oversee full-cycle accounting processes across a complex multi-entity investment structure, ensuring accuracy and compliance. u2022 Perform comprehensive bank and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial integrity. u2022 Manage month-end close activities and prepare detailed financial statements. u2022 Handle private equity accounting tasks, including capital calls, distributions, and equity account activity. u2022 Track and reconcile K-1 forms to support tax reporting requirements. u2022 Facilitate cash movements and manage nested entity relationships within the structure. u2022 Prepare financial reports and detailed workpapers for external tax advisors. u2022 Assist in debt funding activities and ensure compliance with quarterly and annual covenant reporting. u2022 Provide support for ad hoc projects and special requests from ownership and senior leadership. u2022 Collaborate with other controllers to share responsibilities in a high-volume accounting environment. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably at a senior accountant or controller level. u2022 Expertise in full-cycle accounting, including debits, credits, and equity account management. u2022 Strong knowledge of multi-entity and consolidated accounting structures. u2022 Familiarity with private equity fund accounting and related processes, such as capital calls and waterfall calculations. u2022 Experience working in family offices or boutique investment firms is highly preferred. u2022 Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes. u2022 Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic, high-expectation environment. u2022 Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
