Experienced Engineer Electric System

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Purpose Provide engineering analysis and technicalsupport for the planning, operation, and enhancement of the electricdistribution system serving domestic, commercial, and industrialcustomers. This role applies established engineering principles, systemmodeling, and analytical techniques to evaluate system performance,support distributed energy resource (DER) integration, and contribute togrid modernization and reliability initiatives. Assignments have definedobjectives and require collaboration with internal stakeholders andguidance from senior engineering staff. Core Responsibilities Note: Thislist is not all-inclusive. Support distribution planning initiatives byperforming engineering analysis related to system capacity, reliability,customer growth, and infrastructure improvements. Develop, maintain, andupdate electric distribution system models under established standardsand guidance. Perform system analysis using Synergi Electric, includingload flow, voltage profile, short-circuit, fault, and available capacitystudies. Assist with engineering reviews and system impact studies forDER interconnections. Support electromagnetic transient (EMT) analysisand advanced modeling efforts using PSCAD, as assigned. Conduct faultcurrent, arc flash, and basic system protection studies with oversightfrom senior engineers. Assist with system protection coordinationactivities, including evaluation of fuses, reclosers, breakers, andautomation devices. Collaborate with internal teams and externalpartners, including American Transmission Company, on data collection,modeling inputs, and analysis coordination. Participate in engineeringprojects across research, planning, design, testing, and implementationphases. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and recommendationsfor review by senior engineering staff. Perform additional duties asassigned.
