PositionOverview The Farm Specialist Intern will help operate Exact Sciences'onsite hydroponic farms. Operation includes seeding, transplanting, andharvesting as well as cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure properand safe food handling and growing in the farm. Essential Duties Includebut are not limited to the following: Grow inside container hydroponicfarms including seeding, transplanting, harvesting, and packagingproduce. Clean and maintain the hydroponic farm, including general farmcleaning, refilling water and nutrient tanks and calibrating sensors.Test and maintain water quality for growing. Maintain a safe workingenvironment. Troubleshoot automated nutrient systems when issues arise.Assist in retail greens program including inventory management. Leadfarm tours for onsite employees and fellow interns. Plan and supportcommunity zero-waste opportunities. Uphold campus sustainabilityinitiatives. Champion of an effective food safety program. Workcollaboratively with food service and catering. Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to maintain asolution-oriented mindset. Excellent organizational skills including theability to organize projects, record data, and maintain timelines fortracking progress. Strong, reliable worker with ability to workindependently. Self-starter who has great attention to detail and awillingness to learn new subjects. Proactive, goal-oriented individualwho takes pride in their accomplishments.
