Core Processes Supervisor

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities Supervises the processing of ordersfor blood, components, derivative products, and as applicable pharmacyproducts, consistent with regulatory standards while meeting customerexpectations Coordinates delivery of orders and pickup of samples fordiagnostic testing meeting customer expectations Supervises themanagement of product inventories throughout department to maintainacceptable available inventory. Works with other Versiti locations tomaximize inventory efficiency Manages schedules and rotates staff toensure processes are timely, effective and efficient in a 24/7/365operation Ability to work a flexible schedule and take calls as requiredAssists staff during times of increased workload or short staffingEncourages and maintains a culture of respect, teamwork and continuousimprovement Acts as a role model by demonstrating leadership, knowledge,safe practices and problem solving skills Accountable for staffmanagement to include hiring, performance reviews, discipline andtermination according to applicable policies and in collaboration withHuman Resources Regularly meets with staff and effectively communicatesand reports progress in meeting departmental goals and objectivesMentors and coaches staff to develop and maintain staff competence andperformance Ensures instrument preventative maintenance and qualitycontrol are performed and documented on time and as required Assuresthat errors and deviations are reported, documented, and investigatedon-time and according to institutional policy and regulatoryrequirements Ability to take calls on off shifts and for weekend/holidaycoverage Develops Versiti wide peer relationships and has the ability towork in a functional group setting Other duties as assigned Assists indesigning (or optimizing) processes, validations and training protocolsAssists in cross-training to foster an environment of team work betweenProduction and Distribution Departments Assists with annual budgetplanning Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policiesand standards Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalentrequired Associate's Degree in science preferred Experience 1-3 yearssupervisory experience preferred 4-6 years experience in a regulatedenvironment preferred Demonstrates competencies and experience in coreproduction and or hospital services required Knowledge, Skills andAbilities Knowledge and hands on experience in basic donor or patienttesting requirements and techniques Knowledge of GoodManufacturing/Laboratory Practices or FDA regulations desired Experiencewith continuous improvement systems desired Ability to read andinterpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, and other technical documentsAbility to produce reports, graphs and communications for seniorleadership as requested and within the scope of the position Ability toapply judgment to address procedural, equipment, customer and staffissues Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstratedleadership skills including team building and problem solving Ability toorganize a productive work flow and lead the team to meet departmentalgoals Tools and Technology Personal Computer (desk top, lap top, tablet)required General office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copy machine)required Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Other:females, minorities, and special disabled veterans and otherveterans are encouraged to apply.
