Discover more byfollowing us on LinkedIn GENERAL FUNCTION The Optician attracts andretains customers by delivering an exceptional customer experience,fostering customer retention, and promoting outstanding associate/doctorsatisfaction. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Drives profitable storesales by fostering a retail selling culture by practicing NECE and usingeffective retail sales skills. Develops professional businessrelationships with other Associates and Doctors. Fills ophthalmiceyeglass prescriptions and fits and adapts lenses and frames, to includebut not limited to the following: Utilizing optical prescription,evaluates prescription in conjunction with customer's visualrequirements; Asking lifestyle questions to determine customer's visionneeds; Recommending specific lenses, lens coatings and frames to suitcustomer needs; Assisting customers in the selection of frames andcoordination frames with optical measurements and prescription;Conducting measurements of bridge and eyesize, temple length, vertexdistance, pupilary distance and optical centers using appropriate tools.(where authorized under state licensing requirements); Troubleshootingvision issues confidently and bringing to resolution for customersatisfaction Aiding in training of new associates to help themunderstand frame and lens selection.
