JOB REQUIREMENTS: View all jobsSupplier Quality SpecialistMILWAUKEE, WI Manufacturing Global Power Components is a privately held, growingmanufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, largegenerator enclosures and metal modular equipment centers for housingfully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. As aresult of our expansion, we are looking for a Supplier QualitySpecialist. Key Responsibilities Supplier Quality & Performance Maintainand manage the Vendor Issue Log, ensuring timely documentation,follow-up, and closure of supplier-related quality issues Develop,maintain, and publish Supplier Scorecards measuring quality, delivery,responsiveness, and corrective action effectiveness Track and analyzesupplier performance trends and support continuous improvement effortsSupplier Qualification & Approval Coordinate with the Quality Assuranceteam to qualify and approve new and existing suppliers Issue, collect,and review supplier self-assessment questionnaires for new vendorqualification Maintain and control the Approved Supplier List (ASL)Prequalify suppliers for outsourced manufacturing processes includingwelding, painting, and blasting Purchasing & Supplier Coordination Workclosely with the Purchasing Manager and purchasing team to supportvendor onboarding and sourcing decisions Serve as a primary point ofcontact for supplier quality-related communication Maintain strongworking relationships with suppliers to support issue resolution andperformance improvement Provide supplier performance insights toPurchasing to support supplier selection and risk management Audits &Compliance Participate in supplier audits in coordination with theSupply Chain Director and Quality Assurance team Document auditfindings, corrective action requirements, and follow-up actions Supportcompliance with internal quality standards and customer requirementsCorrective Action Management Work closely with the Quality Assuranceteam and suppliers to issue, track, and close Supplier Corrective ActionRequests (SCARs) Support root cause analysis activities and verifycorrective action effectiveness Escalate repeat or high-risk supplierissues to the Purchasing Manager and Quality leadership as appropriateQualifications Required Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain,Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, Business, or related field (orequivalent experience) 2-5 years of experience in...
