Description Pay Range: $25.27-$30.80 (pay will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position)Full Time 40 Hours GENERAL SCOPE: Assists the Occupational Therapist (O.T.) in providing occupational therapy services and developing new resident programs. EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: Must possess an A.A.S. degree in O.T. from an accredited college. Must possess current license to practice O.T. in New York State. National certification by NBCOT preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: + Assists in integrating the residentu2019s treatment plan into the total care plan. + Provides treatment services as specified in the written treatment plan. + Assists in the determination of the need for equipment, supplies or space as indicated by resident care needs. + Assists the O.T.R. in collecting data for QI studies and developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies. + Participates in discharge planning, development and implementation of resident care plans and resident assessments as necessary. + Completes medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies and charting as necessary. + Maintains treatment records, resident files and progress notes as required. + Serves or participates in and/or attend various committees of the facility as required. + Provides guidance and training for new and/or less experienced personnel. + Assists residents in ambulatory training as necessary. + Assists the registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) in accumulating data for the O.T. evaluation and treatment program. + All other job duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE: At least semester of clinical experience in physical disabilities in long- term care.
