If so, join our team at Jacobs as a Senior Project Manager - Commuter Rail and make a significant impact on Broward Countyu2019s transportation infrastructureIn this role, you will bring your knowledge, experience, and ability to lead technical experts and apply innovative solutions in planning, design, construction, and operations to tackle transit and rail challenges. You'll initiate or escalate the correction of any conditions that may adversely affect the project's timely completion.This role requires part-time on-site presence at the clientu2019s office. Candidates currently residing in South Florida (Palm Beach, Broward, or Miami-Dade counties) or those willing to relocate are preferred. However, weekly travel to the siteu2014ranging from 2 to 5 days per weeku2014will also be considered.What Youu2019ll Do Provide leadership and technical expertise specific to commuter rail transit projects. Manage development of solicitation package scopes. Participate in contract negotiations, including scope, fees, and schedules, in compliance with Transit Authority, County, State, and Federal requirements. Coordinate project requirements with thirdu2011party agencies and stakeholders. Lead activities related to grant applications, funding strategies, and financial requirements. Lead project communications, branding, and publicu2011facing messaging requirements. Define project scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations. Manage deliverables from designers and construction management partners (CMPs/CPMs). Provide input for Monthly Program Reports and dashboards related to cost, schedule, progress, and issues. Review and recommend approval of designer and contractor proposals, invoices, and earnedu2011value documentation. Evaluate, coordinate, and recommend changes or modifications to designer, CPM, and contractor scopes of work. Oversee deliverable reviews and coordinate resolution of review comments with designers and CPMs. Review and recommend approval of change orders. Provide technical management of assigned design and construction teams. Lead and participate in regular progress meetings to review Work Package status. Participate in the Monthly Project Coordination Meeting with the Senior Runway Project Manager. Lead and support design review and commentu2011reconciliation meetings with design consultants. Facilitate resolution of technical and contractual issues among design and construction teams. Participate in contractorsu2019 weekly progress meetings. Review and respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs). Monitor Work Package scope, budget, schedule, and quality compared to approved baselines and report deviations to the Program Director and design/CPM teams. Lead corrective actions to address scope, budget, schedule, or quality issues. Manage design and construction support activities throughout the project lifecycle. Partner with designers on evaluations, studies, reports, and alternative analyses. Manage the design consultantu2019s constructionu2011phase services and CPM activities during construction. Facilitate phasing and operations coordination meetings. Manage technical and administrative support staff assigned to project Work Packages. Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director. Bacheloru2019s or Masteru2019s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 20 years of experience managing transit construction projects or related public works capital projects, covering all phases (planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning).
