Come join our growing team Summary: The Fixed Asset Manager of BrandSafway oversees the full lifecycle of the companyu2019s US, and Canada, fixed asset portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence across multiple subu2011ledger systems, currencies, and branch locations. This leader brings a strong control mindset, deep expertise in risk sizing, and a passion for continuous process improvement. The role requires continuous partnership with Operations, Finance, Intercompany team, and senior leadership, along with hands-on management of a high-performing accounting team. Key Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee end-to-end fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, transfers, and reconciliations across multiple sub-ledger systems in the US and Canada. u2022 Lead and develop a team of three accountants, providing coaching, performance management, and technical guidance. u2022 Maintain strong internal controls over fixed asset processes, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, GAAP, and audit requirements. u2022 Evaluate and mitigate risks within the fixed asset lifecycle, implementing corrective actions and sustainable control enhancements. u2022 Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline and automate workflows, enhance accuracy, and strengthen system integrity. u2022 Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, FP&A, Procurement, and IT to support capital project planning and execution. u2022 Prepare and present reporting to senior-level management, offering insights on asset performance, trends, and financial impacts. u2022 Manage fixed asset activity across multiple currencies and foreign locations, ensuring timely and accurate consolidation. u2022 Fulfill internal and external audit requests, providing documentation, explanations, and remediation plans as needed. u2022 Support system integrations and upgrades related to fixed asset modules and sub-ledger platforms. u2022 Ensure on-site presence to collaborate effectively with Operations and other business partners. Supervisory Responsibilities: u2022 Manage a team of 3 accountants. Qualifications: u2022 10+ years of progressive experience in fixed asset accounting or related fields in a large multi-location or global organization. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting; CPA preferred. u2022 Expert-level knowledge of fixed asset accounting principles, GAAP, Tax, and internal controls. u2022 Proven ability to manage multiple systems and navigate complex sub-ledger environments and preferably Oracle and Sage fixed assets system. u2022 Strong analytical and risk evaluation skills with exceptional attention to detail. u2022 Demonstrated success partnering with diverse stakeholders including Operations and senior leadership. u2022 Excellent communication and presentation abilities. u2022 Leadership experience managing and developing accounting teams. u2022 Ability to work on-site and collaborate in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Technical skills/proficiency - Strong with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access PowerPoint). SQL experience is a plus. u2022 HFM expertise - Hands-on experience using Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), HFM Planning and Excel Smartview. u2022 Acquisition u2013 Integrations - Experience of acquisitions and Fixed Assets systems integrations is highly desirable.
