This job was posted by : For moreinformation, please see:DESCRIPTIONS- HOMEMAKERHomemaker shall have knowledge and skill equivalent to completion offour (4) years of high school; experience as a homemaker, either in ownhome or employment; Knowledge of nursing care, first aid and personaland environmental hygiene; knowledge of all areas of budgeting,housekeeping, nutrition, food preparation and clothing care.Duties and responsibilities include:1. Helping to establish household routines.2. Assist/Teaching proper clothing care.3. Performing routine housekeeping, such as making and changing ofbeds, dusting, washing dishes, sweeping, vacuuming and keeping thekitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom clean. Completing laundry.4. Instructs customers in budgeting; assists in preparation of shoppinglists, encourages good buying practices, and makes the necessarypurchases of food and other basic items where the customer cannot do theshopping; planning and preparing meals and special diets wherenecessary; attempting to conform to family dietary habits; and keepingin mind proper nutrition and the family's food allowance; encouragesthe family to correct inadequate or poor dietary practices.5.Giving non-medical personal care as needed, assistance with dressing,washing and bathing; care of teeth or dentures; demonstrates andinstructs family members in good hygiene practices.6. Accompany customer to doctor office appointments and other places asnecessary to conduct personal.7. Preparing a written record of each case served consisting of dailyrecords of activities, observations, progress toward goals and directhours of service.8. Attend training classes and staff conferences.
