Converting Utility - Smurfit WestRock 5710 S. Laburnum Ave Richmond, VA 23231 Department: Corrugator Operations Job Type: Full-Time Shift: 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) Summary: The Converting Utility supports converting department operations by assisting machine operators, conducting quality checks, setting up materials, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. The role is fast-paced and requires strong attention to safety and willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities: u2022 Safely perform a wide range of tasks supporting manufacturing and converting operations. u2022 Assist operators with machine setups, tooling, jam-ups, and material staging. u2022 Conduct quality checks to ensure production meets specifications. u2022 Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. u2022 Support different machinery and assist in various production areas as needed. Qualifications: u2022 High school diploma or GED required. u2022 Experience in fast-paced manufacturing preferred; corrugated environment a plus. u2022 Ability to lift 25-50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks. u2022 Strong work ethic and desire to advance.
