*Posting Title:** HR Generalist **Reports To:** Senior HR Business Partner **Location:** Iowa | Indiana **Salary Range:** $62,250 to $100,000 Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. With services like internal communications, marketing, talent management, employee relations, and total rewards, the People Team supports the over 4,900+ employees at CEI who safely engineer and build complex commercial, data center and energy projects across the United States. **ABOUT THE ROLE** The HR Generalist supports the execution of people programs and HR initiatives aligned to the business objectives across assigned areas of the organization. This role works closely with the HR Business Partner and People Relations team, as well as HR Centers of Excellence to provide consistent, high-quality HR support to leaders and employees. The HR Generalist focuses on operational excellence, leader enablement, and employee lifecycle support to ensure effective delivery of HR processes, programs, and employee experiences. + Serve as a point of contact for leaders and employees within assigned business areas regarding HR processes, tools, and people-related questions. + Maintain consistent HR presence with supported teams, including site visits as needed, to build relationships and support effective execution of HR programs. + Partner closely with immediate HR Business Partner team to support workforce activities, people initiatives, and change efforts through preparation, coordination, and follow-through. + Support leaders in the execution of core HR programs, including performance management cycles, engagement initiatives, and workforce planning activities. + Own and coordinate employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, promotions, and other personnel action requests (PARs), ensuring accuracy and timely processing. + Partner with HR Shared Services to ensure employee data integrity and smooth execution of employee changes and transactions. + Provide general support for training initiatives as directed, such as helping communicate opportunities, or assisting with scheduling/ logistics Support the rollout and administration of training initiatives, including providing reminders and assisting in the compliance of training initiatives. + Reinforce consistent application of HR policies and procedures by providing process guidance and escalating issues appropriately. + Track, compile, and report people-related data (e.g., employee movements, turnover trends), flagging insights and opportunities for improvement. **ABOUT YOU** + HR Program & Operations Knowledge: Understanding of HR processes, employee lifecycle management, and people programs. + Communication Skills: Clear, professional communication with leaders, employees and HR partners. + Collaboration & Partnership: Ability to work closely with HR Centers of Excellence, in addition to Operational groups assigned to support. + Attention to detail: High level of accuracy in managing employee data, PARs, and program execution. + Judgement & Escalation: Ability to recognize when issues require HRBP involvement and follow established escalation paths. + Adaptability: Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** _Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying._ **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. **Licensure/Certifications:** None required. **Experience:** 2-4 years of experience in HR or a people-focused role + experience supporting HR programs, employee lifecycle processes, or leaders preferred. #LI-SA1 **PLEASE NOTE:** CEI will never ask for any money or financial information from applicants during the hiring process.
