Tool Maker Assistant

JOB REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking skilled candidates for an AssistantTool Maker at our client company in Madison, WI. We are looking fornight shift for this temp to hire opportunity with a great team paying$22-27/hr. based on experience. Assistant Tool MakerResponsibilities: - Assist with the fabrication, modification,maintenance, and repair of tools and mechanical components by using CNCmills, mills, lathes, drills, grinders and other shop equipment -Perform bench work such as sanding and tool assembly - Assist in toolinspections to ensure proper tool rebuilds/repairs and reducedevelopment costs of new tools - Participate as a team member to improvework practices and methods - Understand and comply with all workinstructions related to job responsibilities - Assist in Tool Vault andSample Lab as required - Assist all departments by providing machineshop support - Troubleshoot production problems and provide solutions -Perform work to the tooling schedule and adjust as required to meetInternal and external customer deadlines OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: - Certificate in Machine Tool Operations or relatedfield and 1 year experience in manufacturing environment OR Equivalentmachine tool experience in tool fabrication, maintenance, or machineshop - Ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safetyand quality requirements - Working knowledge on the safe and effectiveuse of the following machine shop equipment: CAD/CAM, CNC mills, EDM's,milling machines, manual lathes, and drill presses - Ability to readblueprints - Ability to apply shop math to build tools - Desired SkillsAbility to interact well with others - Self-starter with the ability totry new methods to improve productivity - Strong troubleshooting skills APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: Apply Online:This position is listed by aprivate employment agency.
