JOB REQUIREMENTS: - As a Category Manager Senior your goal is to leadcategory strategies for multiple purchase areas and/or of significanttotal spend across the enterprise. You'll lead strategic sourcingactivities for assigned commodities by data gathering, identifyingsuppliers, quote preparation, supplier qualification, and gap analysisto make robust decisions regarding supplier selection and sourcingneeds. Additionally, you'll manage supplier relationships andperformance and identify cost reduction opportunities. #LI-MD1#LI-Hybrid You will do this by: Conducting supplier contractnegotiations, supplier selection, and contract life cycle managementCommunicating expectations and results with suppliers Developing andexecuting sourcing and supplier management strategies to improve supply,cost, risk management, product development, and innovation Defining andcommunicating the category vision and expectations for suppliers andinternal team members outlining performance and gaps to goals, andimprovements to ensure business objectives are met Collaborating toresolve issues, execute projects, and grow the organization's categoryexpertise Coaching and mentoring Category Analysts to develop theircategory-specific expertise Developing and maintaining effectivebusiness relationships with internal and external stakeholders Managingand reporting on category annual operating planning cycle activitiesAssuring overall continuity of supply and active risk mitigation Workingwith plants to resolve quality, delivery, capacity and other issues asrequired Leading continuous cost reduction / value improvementactivities by developing and executing projects, competitively quoting,conducting negotiations, and developing/executing cost models The abovestatements are intended only to describe the general nature of the joband should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of positionresponsibilities.
