Entry Level Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for a skilled candidate to join our client's team on a contract basis as an Entry-Level Tax Preparer in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will assist clients with their individual tax return processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Responsibilities: u2022 Utilize Lacerte Tax software to efficiently complete tax filings and manage client data. u2022 Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all tax preparation activities. u2022 Organize and maintain client records, ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation. u2022 Collaborate with team members to address complex tax situations and provide solutions. u2022 Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and ensure deadlines are met. u2022 Verify tax data and calculations to identify and correct discrepancies. Requirements u2022 Prior experience in tax preparation, specifically for individual tax returns, is a plus u2022 Proficiency with accounting or tax software. u2022 Strong understanding of current tax laws and regulations. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal. u2022 Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines. u2022 Prior experience in handling confidential financial information. u2022 Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
