Sr. Accountant

Description Robert Half is partnering with a fast-growing, technology-driven organization to identify a Senior Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role will support core accounting operations with a strong emphasis on technical accounting, revenue recognition, and month-end close within a SaaS or subscription-based environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys owning key processes, partnering cross-functionally, and contributing to scalable best practices as the company continues to grow. Key Responsibilities: + Support the full revenue accounting lifecycle, including contract review, performance obligation analysis, and deferred revenue tracking in accordance with ASC 606 + Maintain and account for deferred contract costs under ASC 340-40, including capitalization and amortization of sales commissions + Own critical components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting + Prepare and review complex journal entries and perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations for revenue-related and accrual accounts + Assist with financial statement preparation and provide audit support, including schedules, documentation, and variance explanations + Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting efficiency Requirements Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or related field + CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred + 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting exposure plus industry experience is a plus + Proven experience applying ASC 606 and ASC 340-40 within a SaaS or subscription-based business + Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting concepts + Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems; exposure to Salesforce and commission tools is a plus + Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas + Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate accounting concepts clearly to non-finance partners Why This Role: + Temp-to-hire pathway with long-term growth potential + Exposure to a modern, tech-forward accounting environment + Opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping scale accounting operations Robert Half works to put you in the best position to succeed.
