Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Grand Rapids NW, Michigan. For immediate inquires please contact Katie Ruger on LinkedIn or call 616-600-8734 Position Overview: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for daily and monthly accounting operations, with a strong focus on inventory management, customer pricing, reconciliations, and supporting reporting and compliance activities. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and works closely with cross-functional partners in operations, procurement, and supply chain. Key Responsibilities: + Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including posting of recurring and non-recurring journal entries. + Prepare and review account reconciliations, including inventory, tooling jobs, and related balance sheet accounts. + Support preparation and validation of sales/use tax filings and related schedules. + Maintain and update pricing changes in the ERP system; assist with intercompany pricing and reconciliations. + Participate in physical inventory counts, inventory analysis, and standard cost updates. + Assist with timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting. + Coordinate with operations and cross-functional teams to ensure cost controls and inventory accuracy. + Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal/external audits. + Contribute to annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasting, including variance analysis. + Support process improvement projects and ERP system enhancements. + Assist in development and documentation of internal controls and compliance processes. + Provide mentorship and training support for junior accounting staff, as needed. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 At least three years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing or public accounting. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. u2022 Familiarity with financial systems and ERP software; experience with system upgrades is a plus. u2022 Strong knowledge of general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and tax compliance. u2022 Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and performing financial analyses. u2022 Exceptional analytical and organizational skills paired with clear communication abilities. u2022 Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team objectives.
