Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced financial environment and enjoys working on diverse accounting tasks. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounting operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and adjust journal entries while ensuring accuracy in general ledger accounts. u2022 Conduct thorough account analysis and reconcile items such as bank statements and intercompany accounts. u2022 Maintain and update the general ledger chart of accounts to reflect current financial activities. u2022 Assist in evaluating internal controls and provide actionable recommendations for improvements. u2022 Post accruals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure proper financial reporting. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. u2022 Strong experience with bank reconciliations and general ledger management. u2022 Ability to create and review journal entries with a high attention to detail. u2022 Familiarity with month-end close procedures and ensuring compliance with deadlines. u2022 Hands-on experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. u2022 Solid understanding of financial principles and accounting standards.
