Amentumis the contract service provider to the DOJ ICITAP and Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT) programs. Please Note: This is an Independent Contractor position with Amentum, it should not be considered an employment relationship with Amentum. POSITION SUMMARY: Amentum is currently seeking qualified candidates to serve as a Land Border Security Advisor (LBSA)/Instructor on the EXBS Global Land Border Security Advisory Program on a TDY basis with travel to training location(s) in the country. Advisor will deploy to project areas to train, mentor, and advise leadership personnel engaged in border security operations and serve as an advocate for Global land border security u201cbest operational practicesu201d. Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as part-time Global Land Border Security Advisor. This position will be responsible for conducting strategic goods interdiction training and advising the host government on policies, plans, and strategies as it relates to nonproliferation & counterproliferation capabilities. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Candidate should be thoroughly familiar with standardized mission planning and formal decision-making processes and mission analysis. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of organizational dynamics and have a demonstrated ability to develop flexible and adaptive plans and policies to accomplish mission requirements. + The LBSA will assist and advise with strategic planning and policy development on strategic good interdiction programs. + Assess Global capability and will to identify and disrupt diversion of advanced AI technologies, machine tools, and quantum technologies. + Assess Global capability and will to identify and disrupt intangible technology transfer. + Determine measures to strengthen key capabilities for STC and sanctions enforcement and enhance cooperation with U.S. authorities, including responsiveness to interdiction requests. + Demonstrated cross-cultural communications and adaptive leadership skills + Fluency in spoken and written English + Good interpersonal and time management skills + Demonstrated experience participating in and/or delivering tactical training programs, including scenario-based exercises, high-stress decision-making drills, and operational simulations. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: + Higher education + 7+ Professional patrol experience with a Customs Border Protection Agency + Have spent a minimum of two years as a tactical EMT on a Special Operations unit. + Clearable: Must be able to obtain and maintain a PTW Moderate US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a PTW Moderate Clearance. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Graduated U.S. Border Patrol Academy. + International law enforcement development and deployment experience. + Proficiency in applying tactical principles such as threat assessment, situational awareness, movement techniques, team coordination, and use-of-force protocols in dynamic environments. + Experience training in environments that emphasize realism, safety, and performance under pressure (e.g., live simulations, controlled field exercises, or advanced classroom instruction). + Ability to follow and enforce established training standards, safety procedures, and operational guidelines during tactical exercises. + Strong understanding of after-action review processes, including the ability to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and incorporate feedback into future training or operations. + Prior experience working with multidisciplinary teams during tactical scenarios, demonstrating clear communication, adaptability, and leadership when required.
