Systems Engineer

OverviewOur System Engineer will provide expert level advisory and facilitation services across the life cycle of Model Based System Engineering Acquisitions in support of the Intelligence and Defense communities.ResponsibilitiesPlan MBSE model development in support of systems engineering objectives and program milestonesIdentify and assess segment-level impacts of new capabilities, including across specification, internal and external interfaces, and facilitate integration into the current program baselineIdentify risks to mission closure in the collection segment and evaluate proposed burn-down plansManage and develop requirements from higher level Enterprise governing documents to the Segment level and lowerSupport relevant specification development and test planning activities across the enterprise and with development contractorsSupport initialization and on-orbit calibration and validation activitiesSupport ground site integration and test activitiesSupport customer design review, providing technical insight to evaluate developer designCoordinate across the Program for any proposed specification changes and facilitate integration of changes into the baselineDevelop model queries and supporting documentation to enable use of model resultsDevelop productive relationships with development contractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other spacecraft, payload, and ground subject matter expertsLiaise with mission analysis and acquisition teams to ensure completeness across the acquisitionSkills RequiredLeverage a variety of software tools including DOORs, and perform analyses and automation of tasksLead the transition and stand-up of the above specification management activities into an appropriately scoped and purposed MBSE frameworkLead coordination and completion of segment specification sell-off, along with other verification and validation activitiesLead integration of new capabilities to the program baselineManage external interface definition and coordination of changes with external stakeholders and developerAdvise and mentor customer personnel regarding Segment architecture, specification, and verification and validationProvide technical insight to evaluations of developer proposalsEducationBachelors degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.BenefitsWe offer competitive salaries commensurate with education and experience.
