Quality Assurance Inspector - Aerospace Machining

We're looking for a meticulous and experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join our growing team and help uphold our decades-long reputation for quality.If you're detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in ensuring excellence, this is your chance to make a real impact while earning top-tier pay.Schedule- Dayshift: Monday -- Thursday, 5:00 a.m. -- 3:30 p.m. or- Night Shift: Monday -- Thursday, 3:00 p.m. -- 1:00 a.m.- Occasional overtime availableCompensation & Benefits- $30--$38/hr DOE- Shift differential for night shift work + overtime pay- Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance (with subsidized family coverage)- SIMPLE IRA with company match- Paid vacation + sick leave- 9 paid holidays, including a week off between Christmas and New Year'sWhat You'll Do- Perform detailed first article, in-process, and final inspections- Use a wide range of precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)- Operate or interpret data from CMMs, optical comparators, and other advanced equipment- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (strong GD&T knowledge required)- Document inspection results in accordance with AS9100 & ISO 9001 quality standards- Collaborate with machinists and programmers to maintain quality and solve issues- Perform calibrations of tools is a plus? Ideal Candidate Has- 3+ years of inspection experience in a precision machining environment- Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methods- Familiarity with aerospace, medical, or defense industry standards- Experience working within an ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality management system- Great communication skills and a high attention to detailWhy Westwood Precision?We're a family-owned company with more than 43 years of experience in high-precision manufacturing.
