Description We are looking for a skilled Dispatcher to join our team in Newport News, Virginia. This is a long-term contract position that offers an opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring efficient and timely service delivery to our customers. The ideal candidate will excel at managing service requests, coordinating technician responses, and maintaining strong customer relationships. Responsibilities: u2022 Receive and respond to service calls within a two-hour timeframe in a high-volume environment, ensuring prompt attention to customer needs. u2022 Schedule all service requests within 24 hours of receipt and conduct end-of-day follow-ups for any unscheduled requests. u2022 Collaborate with the sales team to coordinate technician surveys for potential new business opportunities. u2022 Create and manage work orders, including verifying customer details, payment methods, and ensuring accurate data entry aligned with cost codes. u2022 Keep customers informed about technician statuses and provide updates on service progress. u2022 Monitor technician locations during work hours and maintain accurate dispatch board records. u2022 Communicate professionally and patiently with customers to address inquiries and concerns. u2022 Schedule warranty and service requests efficiently, dispatching technicians based on skill level, urgency, and customer requirements. u2022 Perform follow-ups on unresolved items, including rescheduling and ensuring all open calls are assigned and scheduled daily. u2022 Update customer portals and immediately address concerns, escalating issues when necessary and notifying supervisors of actions taken. Requirements u2022 At least 3 years of experience in dispatching or a related role. u2022 Proficiency in customer service and call center operations. u2022 Experience with computer-aided dispatch systems and logistics coordination. u2022 Strong ability to create and manage work orders accurately. u2022 Excellent communication skills with a focus on building long-term customer relationships. u2022 Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple service requests. u2022 Knowledge of technician scheduling and resource allocation. u2022 Familiarity with customer portal updates and maintaining detailed records.
