Provides trainingand examinations, creates standards, and generates inspection processes.Safely and efficiently inspects finished goods, products, and materialsin a timely and professional manner to ensure that quality standards aremet.Essential FunctionsSafely and efficiently inspects finished goods, products, and materialsin a timely and professional manner to ensure quality standards are met.Performs non-destructive inspection on aircraft components, testarticles, and detail parts using pre-approved procedures to identifycracks, corrosion, or mechanical damage. Provides subject matterexpertise and guidance during inspections in program level audits.Provides training and examinations, creates standards, and generatesinspection processes. Reviews and approves component inspectionspecifications, writes detailed technical reports and procedures forsupplier documentation, and maintains internal procedures and pletes all related documentation. Conducts and assists withstructural teardown and test activities . Supervises students to ensuresatisfactory completion of research projects.Physical RequirementsAbility to ascend and descend ladders and/or stairs.Ability to position self for inspection, construction or maintenance ofequipment including confined, elevated and loud noise spaces.Ability to inspect work, materials, equipment, and/or supplies andidentify any errors, needs, and/or determining factors.Ability to remain in a stationary position.Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.Ability to use tools, equipment, and technology necessary to do the job.This includes dexterity in instrument manipulation.
