This role includes supervising field personnel, coordinating daily tasks, ensuring safety compliance, and serving as a key representative of Southern Air on the jobsite. This position requires advanced technical knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to lead by example. Required Qualifications + Minimum5+ yearsof professional piping or pipefitting experience + Strong ability toread and interpret drawings, blueprints, and P&ID schematics + Ability to lead crews, delegate tasks, monitor progress, and maintain workflow + Experience preparing and installinglargeu2011bore weld pipe + Deep knowledge offitting takeu2011outsfor screw and weld fittings + Proficiency with: + Carbon steel piping + Stainless steel piping & tubing + PVC and copper + Welded pipe systems + Must provide essentialhand toolsrequired for the trade + Excellent communication skills and ability to work with limited supervision + Must pass postu2011offer drug screening and any required background checks Leadership & Job Responsibilities + Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily pipefitting crew activities + Supervise field personnel and ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule + Interpret project drawings and communicate requirements to team members + Conduct quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure all work meets project specifications + Assist with material takeu2011offs and verify proper supplies and tools are available + Provide handsu2011on installation and welding support as needed + Maintain a clean, safe work environment and enforce company safety policies + Communicate professionally with project managers, contractors, and clients + Train and mentor junior team members to support continuous skill development Physical Demands & Work Environment + Frequent standing, climbing, kneeling, stooping, and crawling + Regular lifting of materials up to50 pounds + Work performed indoors and outdoors, including varying temperatures and weather conditions + Use of hand tools, power tools, and tradeu2011specific equipment + May involve extended driving or riding in a vehicle (2+ hours) + Work around standard construction materials and chemicals Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
