We’re focused on purpose-driven work, and strongly believe what’s good for pets, people and our planet is good for Petco.TheSeniorHuman Resource Generalist serves alongside theDirector,HR Business Partner as liaison for HR program implementation, partner coaching & development, and Petco Transformation initiatives. The HR Field team is responsible for executing various leadership development and advancement tools while also displaying high energy and a passion for people. As aSenior HRGeneralist,you will focus on these key areas and functions: Leadership Coaching, Partner engagement, Partner Relations, and Performance Management.Support the retail leadership selection process, and help implement field leader capabilities to onboard, develop, lead, and inspire their teamsto elevate our partner experience and impact business results; make recommendations to hire, advance, promote, or perform other changes of employment status for partnersPartner with the field to ensure a successful implementation of our Performance Management process (goal setting, quarterly check-ins, career development plans, merit, and incentives) Help maintain and support disciplinary action procedures and ensure understanding of compliance with state and federal laws. Collaborate and provide counsel/guidance/recommendations to field and support leaders to address and fully resolve partner concerns (be it related to ER, benefits, leaves, or other questions)Engage in the talent selection process of PCC General Managers, and other positionswheredeemed necessaryChampion and implement change initiatives in partnership with HR and Field Leadership (compensation, policies)Partner with HRBP team to identify opportunities and deliver training in support of strategic goals and team member development.Assist HR Leadership with Talent Review and calibration processSupport field leadership through troubleshooting or escalating Workday system errors, includingone on onetraining to identify cause and solutionReview and approve requests for compensation and job changesEducation/Experience:Bachelor’s degreeor equivalent experience3+ years of professional HR, partner development or leadership coaching experience, preferably in a retail settingMust possess a very high degree of discretion and confidentialityStrong written and verbal communication skillsWorkdayHRISexperience a plusAdditional Responsibilities:Potential travel required to support field efforts#LI-AT2#CORPFor a more detailed overview of Petco Total Rewards, including health and financial benefits, 401K, incentives, and PTO - see Animal Supplies, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
