Maintenance Engineer

PURPOSE OF POSITION:Performs routine and preventive maintenance to guest rooms, interior and exterior needs of the facility and to all mechanical equipment.REPORTS TO:Maintenance Supervisor and Chief EngineerMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Able to climb ladders.Able to lift at least 50 poundsDemonstrate good eye hand coordination. Demonstrate the ability to walk and stand for extended times.Prior Basic painting & drywall experiencePrior customer service experienceRESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklistsInstall electrical wiring and devisesPerforms preventive maintenance on equipmentPerforms painting and drywall repair throughout the buildingResponds to emergency maintenance requests as neededAssists with renovation and remodeling of facilitiesBasic plumbing repairs to toilets and faucets as neededMaintains records of scheduled maintenance recordsProperly communicates daily with internal departmentsResponds to Front Office and Housekeeping requests in a timely mannerProvides team members and members of management updates on varying projectsKeeps mindful of costs when performing dutiesMaintains a well-organized work station and environmentDoes not enter guest rooms without checking first of vacancy statusMaintain ongoing knowledge of all chemicals used, SSDS proceduresPractice and execute Lock-Out Tag-OutPractice and execute Compass Points dailyResponsible for all hotel and company tools - ensuring good wear and replacement, returning back to its place of origin when not in use.
