Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist, WEO Responsibilities: 715a-745p Fri/Sat/SunPerforms sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performsvenipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance withPiedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks. Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:High School graduate or GEDMINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:NoneMINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:NoneADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:One (1) year of experience as a phlebotomist preferredPhlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency is preferred.Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy is preferred.Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes is preferred.Experience in performing EKGs is preferred.Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
