Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in San Bernardino, California. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a non-profit organization while developing your accounting skills in a supportive environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage accounts receivable processes, including accurate posting of invoices and maintaining records. u2022 Handle cash applications and ensure timely allocation of payments. u2022 Perform soft collections activities to follow up on outstanding balances. u2022 Create and process journal entries to support accounting operations. u2022 Support billing functions by verifying accuracy and resolving discrepancies. u2022 Collaborate with team members to provide general accounting department support. u2022 Assist with minor accounting tasks as needed to ensure smooth workflow. u2022 Maintain a high level of accuracy and organization in all financial activities. u2022 Adhere to company policies and procedures while contributing to process improvements. Requirements u2022 Foundational knowledge of accounting principles gained through a degree or relevant work experience. u2022 Proficiency in accounts receivable processes, including billing and cash applications. u2022 Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems effectively. u2022 Reliability and a commitment to meeting deadlines and departmental goals. u2022 Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills. u2022 Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities within the department. u2022 Employment may be contingent upon completion of required pre-employment procedures.
