Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. HR Business Operations Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Sausalito, California. In this role, you will take on a critical position that combines operational support, HR management, and administrative expertise. You will work closely with leadership and external partners to streamline processes, ensure compliance, and drive efficiency across multiple business functions. Responsibilities: u2022 Provide comprehensive operational and administrative support to organizational leaders, fostering trust and efficiency in day-to-day activities. u2022 Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for business operations, systems, and internal workflows. u2022 Create and standardize investor pitch decks and materials, while coordinating efforts for Series A fundraising. u2022 Collaborate with legal teams, investors, accountants, and tax professionals to ensure smooth business operations. u2022 Lead recruitment initiatives, including sourcing candidates and conducting initial interviews, as well as managing onboarding and offboarding processes. u2022 Administer and oversee tools such as Gusto, Workable, Mineral, Carta, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft, and DocuSign, ensuring optimal use. u2022 Ensure compliance with HR regulations, manage California benefits administration, and oversee equity-related processes including 1099s and 409A. u2022 Provide basic IT and systems support, and liaise with external developers and vendors as needed. u2022 Utilize AI and modern software solutions to enhance efficiency and improve documentation practices. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR business operations or a related field. u2022 Strong expertise in developing and documenting standard operating procedures. u2022 Proven ability to manage regulatory compliance and handle HR-related processes, including benefits administration and equity management. u2022 Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding employees. u2022 Familiarity with tools such as Gusto, Workable, Mineral, Carta, QuickBooks Online, and DocuSign. u2022 Knowledge of handling regulatory documents and processes, including 1099 forms and 409A equity. u2022 Effective collaboration skills with legal counsel, tax professionals, and other external partners. u2022 Exposure to Series A fundraising, regulated industries, or working with C-suite leaders is a plus.
