Job Description Responsibilities Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center - Opening in 5! When open in early 5, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community.This full-service hospital will include beds (with the ability to expand to beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a -car garage and a helipad for emergency transport. We are seeking an experienced Postpartum/Antepartum Registered Nurse (PRN-Days) Our ideal candidate will be responsible for closely monitoring the vital signs of both mothers and their newborns, ensuring that any irregularities are swiftly addressed. Additionally, this individual will provide essential support to mothers during their recovery period, which includes offering physical assistance with mobility and daily activities as they heal. Beyond physical care, the candidate will also play a crucial role in educating the mother and her family about postpartum health, providing vital information on topics such as infant care, breastfeeding, and emotional well-being. All these responsibilities will be carried out in strict accordance with our facility's established policies, standards of care, and overarching philosophy of patient-centered support. Qualifications Requirements Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. ACLS, NRP (or obtained within three months of employment) BLS DC RN License Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
